Photos: A bridge and a fort

Today was a day for driving from Camden to Bar Harbor, but it was also a day to satisfy my curiosity. I first saw the Penobscot Narrows Bridge as I was heading to the ferry to Nova Scotia for last fall's tour. The bridge was still under construction. I really wanted to walk on it, but I behaved myself and didn't.

When I saw that the bridge was open, and that there was an observatory atop one of the towers, I knew that I had to stop there today.
